Job description

AMI is looking for a Assistant Store Manager for our New York location! Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager will ensure the store is running efficiently. Alongside his/her team, the Assistant Store Manager will drive sales and performance and continually create engaging client experience and long-term relationships with clients. As well as managing day-to-day operations. The Assistant Store Manager responsibilities include but not limited to;

TEAM MANAGEMENT

− Inspires and guides their team, creates a positive work environment, and fosters a culture of teamwork and collaboration.

− Hire, supervision, training, and development of a high performing team.

 

SALES PERFORMANCE

− Set and communicate sales goals to the team on a daily/weekly/monthly & quarterly basis. Track business performance to achieve targets with teamwork.

− Achieve company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) goals by driving performance and engagement of the team.

− Develop business strategies and utilize AMI’s selling techniques to contribute to overall store business performance.

− Improve sales performance of the team through feedback, coaching and training.

 

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

− Ensure team provides a unique customer experience spreading the AMI spirit: Welcome customers according to AMI values. Friendly, approachable, and upholds positive work environment for their team.

− Understand customer needs and propose a relevant selection of products while encouraging cross-selling.

 

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

− Manage the stock observing brand directives and procedures.

− Control and oversee deliveries, transfers, damages, cycle counts, end of season, and all other back of house operations.

− Support the inventory preparation in store and monitor results.

− Develop and share ideas to increase efficiency, support store initiatives and projects as needed.

− Actively participates in the Visual Merchandising of the store, proposes options during rotations.

− Properly order new supplies avoiding excessive surplus or inefficiencies

 

VISUAL MERCHANDISING 

− Review Sell Through Report and provide feedback / update based on results.

− Identify slow-selling items and provide solutions.

− Keep the sales floor attractive and appealing. Uphold VM standards and hold team accountable.

 

Job requirements

REQUIRED PROFILE

• At least 3+ years of experience in retail management.

• Experience in stock managing, operations, or retail preferred.

• Familiar with sales techniques.

• Smiling, dynamic, involved, and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Team player with a strong sense of team leadership to deliver results beyond expectations.

• Mastering customer service skills and demonstrating ability to foster a customer-service spirit.

• Strong interest and a good understanding of fashion, a strong familiarity with the luxury market

and its trends.

• A second language would be appreciated
