Mission: The VIE Finance & Operations Analyst will report directly to the Chief of Staff Americas, based in New York, with strong exposure to Paris Headquarters (Finance, Retail Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, IT, etc.). This role involves supporting both Finance and Operations to ensure smooth store activity, accurate financial reporting, and optimized processes across the North American subsidiary.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING

Monthly closing

  • Collect, review, and consolidate documents from store managers for the accounting firm

  • Support the accounting firm with reconciliations (sales, credit cards, other accounts)

  • Prepare subsidiary closing reports for HQ and assist in budget vs. actual analysis

Inventory management

  • Support store teams during inventories and consolidate results

  • Provide documentation to the accounting firm and assist in stock analysis

  • Follow up on exceptional transactions and discrepancies

Accounts payable & invoice management

  • Enter and process invoices in a timely manner

  • Ensure payments are executed and maintain AP aging

  • Liaise with suppliers and the accounting team to resolve outstanding items

Budgeting & forecasting

  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and reforecasts (Topline, Margin, OPEX, CAPEX)

  • Assist in preparing financial performance analyses and variance explanations

  • Participate in scenario planning and presentations for HQ

 

OPERATIONS COORDINATION

Provider & supplier management

  • Manage day-to-day store providers and service contracts

  • Maintain trackers, review invoices, and ensure cost optimization

  • Supervise replenishment of store supplies

Maintenance

  • Anticipate store needs by monitoring overall conditions (paint, fixtures, equipment, etc.)

  • Coordinate maintenance requests from stores, including urgent interventions when necessary

  • Liaise with service providers to ensure issues are solved quickly and efficiently

 

WHOLESALE SUPPORT

  • On an occasional basis, support wholesale team to enter orders during showrooms and help on collecting EDIs

Job requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Master’s degree

  • 2-to-5-year experience in Finance, Retail or Consulting

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and resourceful, excellent communication skills - well-developed interpersonal skills, good listener

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all functions in the organization

  • A collaborative team player – attentive to team and company-wide success as well as individual performance
