Job description

Mission: The Finance, Strategy & Operation Assistant will directly report to the General Manager North America (based in New York) and will also work closely with all departments at Paris Headquarters (Finance, HR, Merchandising, Supply Chain, IT between others). His/her mission will be to assist the General Manager in the development of the brand in North America and the optimization of the subsidiary performance reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Performance review
  • Analyze sales and margin performances, costs monitoring, follow up on variances and alert on potential overspending against budget
  • Prepare monthly business review presentations to the CEO and investors
  • Finance support
  • Apply an analytical approach to support strategic decisions (new stores, partnerships, investments)
  • Provide support in the definition of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts
  • Provide support in the preparation of presentation materials for HQ and investors reviews
  • Help in setting up commercial targets and budget per commercial departments
  • Accounting support
  • Provide the Accountant with all necessary documents and information for monthly closing
  • Follow on a daily/weekly/monthly basis that invoices and payments of suppliers are processed and paid

Job requirements

Required experience and skills:

  • Master’s degree
  • 2-to-5-year experience in Consulting, Finance or Business Development
  • Proficient on Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and resourceful. Excellent communication skills - well-developed interpersonal skills, good listener
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with all functions in the organization
  • A collaborative team player – concerned with the team and company-wide success as well as individual performance
